Be The Reason Someone Smiles

Be The Reason Someone Smiles

I saw this on a bumper sticker a couple months ago and I remember thinking to myself (in an irritated mood) “really, how could I make someone smile.” I had a long day with the kids. I was tired, wanted sleep. All I wanted was some peace and quiet. Or just run away!

When Joe got home I showered, washed my hair, took off my make-up and got in the car. I found myself in the Dairy Queen drive thru HAHA and I don't even really like ice cream. But there was a reason I went. As the girl handed me my ice cream she gave me a compliment.

And that my friend, is how you make someone smile. It was the smallest gesture. But it left me feeling better and put a smile on my face!

With the world how it is, a little compliment, a small wave, anything to make someone feel a little extra special should be something we look to do on the daily!

I challenge you (yes I am challenging you) to look for a way to make someone smile. We’re in a weird/negative/hateful stage right now and the best thing we can do is help lift others.

I created a printable to hang in my daughters room.
